The monument to the fallen was inaugurated on June 24, 1925. This is a dear and memorable day to all Cansanesi, wherever they are in the world, especially because it is also the feast of San Giovanni Battista, protector of the town.


     Around the year 1940, Cansano had a beautiful band consisting of circa forty musicians. Due to the heavy emigration, during which many members expatriated, the band dissolved.
